At Chapel Hill we pride ourselves on our outside space. We have a large paddock at the rear of the property which is surrounded by open countryside, here you will find our kitchen garden, 20ft sandpit with slide, forest school area, curiosity approach inspired role play kitchen as well as our shepherd’s hut and two friendly duck, Tallulah and Sidney. Directly to the rear of the nursery is an artificial play area, this is split into two areas, one for under two-year olds and the other for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
Our gardener visits the nursery every other week during the spring and summer months to carry out gardening sessions with the children. The children will have the opportunity to grow many vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, kale and herbs which will be used in cooking activities and in the children’s meals. Children can also enjoy weekly sessions with our sports coach, Mat. Mat carries out sessions on different days of the week to ensure that every child benefits from his fun activities. For more information about our sport sessions please see www.sports-xtra.com.
We pride ourselves on Safety at Chapel Hill Day Nursery, along with our daily outdoor risk assessment, our outdoor play area is risk assessed by Rospa every year, www.rospa.com.
